Reunion today of the Veterans of Co. A, 27th Conn Volunteers. Same being the Grays Company in the Civil War. There are but four of them now alive and but two were able to attend. Mr. Bradley of West Haven and "Tony" Dardell of New Haven. Mayor Ballmann, Captain Philip English, Captain Charles McClellan, and myself attended to do honor to those cherished veterans. Paul Thompson, son of S.S. Thompson, a veteran of the Company, made the arrangements and called for and took these men home. This is Father and Mother Peck's sixty fourth wedding anniversary. T.P.H. took them in the Packard car over to Scotland, Conn. where they were married.
