Friday, August 16, 1929 A beautiful day, cool and clear and lovely. Mr. Hickey and Mr. Kahn of Boston called on me to day and we all went down to the Hotel Gande and held a conference to do with the future of and the betterment of the Wallpaper business. Home tonight to dinner and for the evening. We had a letter from Bert Hodges telling us what a fine time he was having with Sally in England. Also a card from Sarah herself telling us that she is now visiting in Germany before going to Copenhagen to see Muriel Newell.
