A beautiful Summer day. Slept late. T.P.H. and I had breakfast alone. I worked out in the garden till noon then bathed and shaved and we went in to Mrs. Beckley's on Everitt Street and called for Ruth Beckley and we three went down to the Frank Wilcox Co. for dinner. It was a good chance for Tess to go while Father and Mother Peck were away. We drove from Savin Rock out to Woodbridge and called on Larry and Aletha Stone and to see their new baby, Betsy Day Stone. Came home and brought Ruth home with us for the night.
