Wednesday, August 28, 1929 Beautiful Fall day, cool and clear. Drove up to the Springfield store. Had a conference at Hotel Kimball with Al Calvin and Jim Gunn on program for Fall Conclave at Swampscott. Representative of an entertainment bureau from Boston met with us. Drove back to Hamden, picked up T.P.H., then went on to the store and met Mr. and Mrs. Hall of New Britain and we all went down to Wilcox's Savin Rock to dinner. We try to have them down each year.
