Thursday, August 29, 1929 Made my official visit to the Milford Rotary Club meeting with the club at noon at the Masonic Temple and speaking to them, then meeting with the club assembly afterwards. They had a fine attendance and had good singing. On my home, I came via West Haven and stopped and called on Mrs. Charles H. Barnes and family, whose husband at just died. He was a veteran Gray and very proud of the Company. I worked at the office till late finishing up our Wall Paper orders. Mrs. Mussbaum of New York and three women friends called and spent the night with us. Later went down to the Armory and mailed out the notices for the 113th Anniversary of the New Haven Grays to be held Sunday, September 8th and Friday, September the 13th.
