Friday, August 30, 1929 Drizzling rain today. Wish that it might amount to something. Drove up to Winsted to the Boys Scouts Camp Sequassen. Mr. Will Dudley went up with me. This was the last week of camp and the final banquet. I spoke to the boys on "What does the world expect of its scouts". We had a fine dinner and a good time. We drove back home, arrived about midnight. Dr. Eckner, who piloted the Graf Zeppelin around the world, was feted in New York today. We had a letter from Sally, written on the train on the way from Berlin to Copenhagen. She sails for home today on the American Merchant line. We surely will be glad to see her. Grant and Helen Noble spent the night with us. [Prev](1929_08_29.md) - [Next](1929_08_31.md) <img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/d/16cR6N8LfHIOU3k4J4fk0G6aC7oSyIp-Q">
