This has been a day of happenings. Arose early and went in to store. Took care of my mail then started for Ware, Massachusetts to make my official visit to the Rotary Club there. Went up via the college highway. Event one, crossed the Farmington River at Avon over the new bridge that has been under construction for so long. Event two, on account of starting so late this morning, I was driving at top speed and having considerable alcohol in the radiator (not in me). The old thing boiled and steamed so that I had to stop and let her cool off and waste considerable time. By the time I reached Palmer, a vigorous snow storm had set in which lasted till I reached home. Event three, visited the secretary of the Ware Club at the hospital. Event four, bumped into a bus on the way home on account of the snow. Event five, shoveled off about six inches of snow off the side walks for the first time this Winter.
