A beautiful day. Cold and clear and the ground covered with snow. Went into the office early, took care of my mail, then started with Mr. Chamberlain driving for Putnam to make my official visit to the Putnam Rotary Club. The roads were just perfect. The snow packed down hard just like the good old sleighing days. The state highway department had sanded the hills and curves so we could hurry right along. Had a fine meeting with the club and the assembly. Drove home. Saw a gorgeous sunset, all colors on display. Had supper in town then worked till 11-15 on my wall paper books.
