Very sloppy going as the snow is melting rapidly. Harley and I attended a luncheon of the Chamber of Commerce at the Hotel Taft. The speakers were the heads of our city, Yale, and large industrial plants, who told the public about the work for 1930 planned. This was to allay feelings of depression regarding business conditions owing to the recent stock market crash. Mayor Tully spoke for the city, Mr. Pelly for the N.Y.N.H. + H.R.R, Mr. Knight for the S.N.E. Tel. Co., Welson H., sec for the Mfg. Assn., Sidney Stokes for the merchant's, Fulton Ferguson for the Chamber read a letter from the treasurer of Yale. All speakers were most optimistic. Worked at York St. store till eleven o'clock on Wall Paper. Called for Sally at Drama School.
