Tuesday, December 17, 1929 Raining hard and freezing. Rode in town with our neighbor Graham. Left New Haven for Waterbury on the trolly car to make my official visit to the Waterbury Rotary Club. Luncheon at Hotel Elton. Meeting with the directors afterwards. Took a bus from Waterbury to Plainville then took the trolly to Bristol, where I made my official visit to the Bristol Rotary Club at an evening meeting, especially arranged for me. The dinner was served at the Elk Club. Met with the club assembly afterwards. Dwight Hall, one of their members, brought me all the way to Milldale by auto so as I could catch an earlier trolly to Cheshire and then home on the Waterbury car. I arrived home at about 11-30.
