Sunday, December 22, 1929 Was sick all night with a sort of intestinal grippe. Stayed in bed late today. Did not go to church or church school, the first time I have missed a Christmas Service at Calvary in many years. Just rested all day, addressed Christmas cards, and read. Bob and Midge Chandler from New London called and brought some packages for Sally. We all had tea together and they drove on home. Mrs. Horsfal, one of our dear old ladies at Calvary had a shock and lay on the floor of her home today for seven hours. She is still unconscious late tonight.
