Monday, December 23, 1929 Very much colder this morning. Snowed nearly all day. Regular Christmas weather and on the shortest day of the year too. Had lunch at the Quinnipiack Club this noon then did some Chistmas shopping. Mrs. Wood went home ill again today. She looked very badly. Home to dinner tonight. Peter had to go down to New York today so Sally went in to the New Haven Station to meet him on the eleven o'clock train. It was raining and sleeting so badly that I had to drive with the wind shield open.
