Into the store early and hustled all the morning. Mrs. Wood still very ill. I took the 1-30 P.M. train for Boston via the shore line. Arrived in Boston and went direct to Boston Chamber of Commerce, where I attended a dinner of the New England Wall Paper Dealers Credit Association. About ninety men were there. Left the meeting at eleven o'clock and caught the 11-30 train back to New Haven. Read a while and went to bed. This train arrives in New Haven about four A.M. and they leave on sleeping car in the yard and we were privileged to sleep till seven o'clock.
