Cold and cloudy this morning but no storm developed today. Took the Packard in to town today to be washed and polished. Layers of Hamden mud baked on it. Drove over to North Haven tonight to Father and Son Banquet of the North Haven and Montowese Boys Scouts. I spoke to them on the responsibilities of them to each other. Lunch this noon at the Quinnipiack Club with Carl Northrop, Chief of Boy Scouts, and Warren Crawford, Chairman of Finance Committee. Then I went up to the Hotel Bishop and met with the Executive of the New Haven Council of Churches.
