Tuesday, February 12, 1929 Lovely day again today, quite cold. No Rotary luncheon this noon to make way for the Ladies Night at the Lawn Club tonight. Came home early to dress and to take T.P.H. to the party. We all assembled at seven o'clock at the New Haven Lawn Club on Whitney Avenue. Sat down to dinner a little later. Had a fine dinner and a lot of fun. Sigmund Speeth was the speaker and performer. We then danced, played cards, played games, and had a nice time. Governor and Mrs. Jim Gun from Turner Falls was with us. Sarah had to attend a rehearsal at St. Paul's Church. Then she came for us and brought John Cliarman with her in time to dance a bit.
