Friday, February 22, 1929 Washington's birthday. Most business shut down today. We closed the store but all of the Wall Paper Department worked from eight till twelve. Miss Radcliff and Franklin Clark also worked. The wall paper crowd worked on sample books for our customers road orders. Came home this afternoon and finished shoveling snow from the storm of yesterday. After dinner, T.P.H. and I drove in to the Arena, corner of Orange and Grove Streets, to see the hockey game between Yale and Princeton. It was a fast and furious game. Yale won 3 to 1. Larry Noble is coach and Cady is captain. "Ding" Palmer and Paul Curtiss also were stars. We drove up to the Yale Drama School and took Sarah home with us.
