Thursday, February 28, 1929 Luncheon today at Quinnipiack Club. Rained hard most of the day. Home tonight to dinner and for the evening. Worked on our wallpaper bible all the evening. Received a letter from sister Lillian today inviting Sally and I down to Washington to enjoy the inauguration of President Hoover. We would have liked to have gone but can not. We also had a letter today from Ruth Curtiss Donovan from Bahia, Brazil. Howard is U.S. Consul down there.
