In Hartford this morning attending the State Convention of the Conn. Master Painters Ass'n. Breakfast here at the Hotel Bond. Visited around with some of the members then took the 11-33 train for Springfield store. Had lunch at Hotel Kimball then made arrangements for our convention next week, Wednesday and Thursday. Caught the four train for home. Arrived safely and went directly to the City Mission Hall on Orange Street to attend and preside at the Annual Meeting of the New Haven Council Boys Scouts. We had a fine meeting, about 150 being present. Raining and freezing hard. Everything is all ice. John Kline brought me home in his new Ford. Sarah was obliged to remain in town tonight as she had to work so late at the Yale Drama School.
