Thursday, January 24, 1929 In Springfield for the Wetherill's Convention. Had breakfast here at the Hotel Kimball. Made some calls with Mr. Page of the Springfield store this morning. H.M.H. came up this afternoon. We had a meeting for Western Massachusetts Dealer at the Kimball this afternoon. The attendance was very small on account of the "Flu" epidemic. We held the dinner in the Supper Room and had a nice dinner. The number here was less than we could have hoped for. H.M.H. took Mr. Skeen and Mr. Davis to Hartford so that could catch the eleven o'clock train for Burlington, Vermont to again meet the dealers of the Vermont Hardware Co. I am to stay here tonight and go home tomorrow. I am glad these meetings are finished. I have talked steadily for four days and nights and am all in.
