Arose early and drove in town and had breakfast. T.P.H. and Sarah at the Davises in Plainfield, N.J. Worked till about eleven then took the 11:11 train (Standard Time) for New York with her baggage. Met them at the Pier No. 7 North River to see her off on her trip to England and Copenhagen. Cally and "B" Davis brought T.P.H., Sarah, and Peter over from Plainfield where they stayed last night and I met them and we all went aboard and visited with her till sailing time. I met two friends of mine who were going over on the same boat, Mr. Winnie and Mr. Goodbar. They sailed on the "American Merchant" of the American Merchant Line. We all stood on the pier and waved to Sally until the boat was out of sight. Peter hurried back to Stockbridge and Tess and I went back to Plainfield with the Davises.
