Another hot sizzling day. Drove into the store early this morning and after going through my mail, drove with Frank Spaulding to Lakeville, Conn. to see Harry Jones at the Hotchkiss Boys School about Paint Materials. It was a lovely ride up and back. We had lunch in Canaan, Conn. and dinner at home. T.P.H. and I drove into town tonight to call on Dorothy Rawson. She is leaving for Iowa tomorrow and will be married in August and not return East. It was about the hottest night we have had this Summer. T.P.H. slept down in the sun room.
