Almost cold this morning. The thermometer had gone down 42° during the night. Yesterday it was 90°. This morning it was 48°. Arose early and went into the store and took over the switch board till eight o'clock. Aunt Mame was down to Auntie "B"'s, so she spent last night with Harley. Alice took her today to see Violette and later out here to see Tessie. They called at the store to see me for a minute. Special meeting of the Board of Governors of the Quinnipiack Club to adopt resolutions on the death of Nathan W. Hendryx. Carleton H. Stevens prepared them. It was a fine paper. Home to supper tonight. Watered the garden and worked on my Rotary speach.
