Friday, July 19, 1929 Hard thunder shower last night broke the drought although we did not get nearly enough rain. Went in to the store early. Harley and I went out and spent a little time with Sister. She was feeling so lonely this morning. Everyone had gone. I then drove on to Springfield by the way of Westfield. Stopped at Bryan Hardware Co. Called on some customers of their's for them. Drove on over to Springfield and spent some time with them then came home.
