Monday, July 29, 1929 Very hot indeed. T.P.H. took me in town in the Packard to catch the eight o'clock train for New York and the Wall Paper Convention. Arrived and registered at Hotel Commodore then went directly to meeting of the National Wall Paper Wholesalers Association in the Ball Room. Mr. Justin P. Allman presided. Harley came down in time for the annual dinner tonight. We sat at the table with a group of New England men. Mr. Gerry, Mr. Lappin, Mr. Carl Richardson. Arthur Higgins, Mr. Tenny, Mr. Wing, Mr. Lappin, Harley, and I took a Fifth Ave. bus and rode to 185th Street and back to get whatever breeze there were.
