Saturday, June 15, 1929 Beautiful day. Very hot but no humidity. We closed the store at one o'clock. I had lunch in town then went down to Calvary Church and arranged the seating for tomorrow's Children's Day Service. Went back to the office and worked on my Rotary notice for calling the District Assembly. Came home about five o'clock. Eleanor and Catherine Effler were just leaving for Hartford so I was in time to see them. We had a terrific shower come up for about an hour, which freshened things up a lot.
