Monday, June 17, 1929 Very hot again today. Thermometer around 90° and very dry. No rain for a long time. Luncheon this noon at the "Prattonia", it being a meeting of the Counciling Committee of the New Haven Council of Churches with the Y.M.C.A. Dr. Maurer of Center Church is chairman of our committee. Mary Lou Wattles of Hollywood, California, a former classmate of Sally's at Pine Manor, came today to visit us. She is so lovely that we enjoy her stay with us.
