Drove to Springfield today. Called at Southwick and Westfield. Had lunch in Westfield. Then went on to Springfield store. Coming home by the way of the College Highway. Had battery trouble three miles beyond Simsbury. A good samaritan towed me down to Simsbury where I had the necessary repairs made. Arrived home for dinner at about eight o'clock. Yale Harvard boat races on the Thames at New London today. Yale won all three of them. Varsity, junior varsity, and freshman. The freshman race was the only one that was at all close. Yale has now won the big race eight times out of nice races.
