Saturday, June 29, 1929 Worked till one o'clock then closed the store. I came home, then T.P.H. and Sarah and I drove in town to Calvary Church to Betty Merrow's wedding. She looked very lovely and so did her mother. We called at Violette's on the way home. She had had no further word from Howard Donovan at Bahia. Richmond had not come home either. Although they expected him at any time. I spent the evening getting my things together for the Rotary District assembly at Hartford on Monday. It is my first day as District Governor and my first big job to put over. I am hopeful that it will come through all right.
