Monday, March 4, 1929 Rained hard all day. Drove to Norwalk this noon. Took Mr. Chamberlain, one of our men, down with me, also Mr. Coleman of the Red Stave Paste Company. I attended the luncheon of the Norwalk Rotary Club. Anson Leary of the Westport Club was the speaker of the day. After, Mr. Chamberlain, Mr. Coleman, and I called on a customer then drove to Danbury to visit The Stone Company, who were celebrating their fifteenth business anniversary. They had their store arranged very nicely. We drove back to New Haven in a pouring rain. Got some supper in town then went back to the office and worked on Wallpaper records. Herbert Hover inaugurated President of the United States at Washington today. Poured rain hard all day. Foot Gaurds and Troop A. went from New Haven. All got soaking wet.
