Saturday, March 23, 1929 Rained nearly all day long. Busy at the store all day long till five o'clock. Mr. Fred Marks, formerly of the Hoffman Company, Hartford, joined our forces in the Wall Paper Department last Monday. He is a good man and should help the department a good deal. Home to dinner tonight then out to the Edgewood Club where we put on a show, "A Broadcasting Station". I was the announcer and we put on a fine program of vocal and instrumental numbers. I called for Sally at the Yale Drama School and we drove home in a dense fog.
