Rain all day. Instead of going to the Hotel Taft first for our Rotary Club meeting, we all went to Trinity P.E. Church on the Green and attended a Lenten Service. William Lyon Phelps ("Billy") was the preacher. He preached on "The Beauty of Holiness". It was a fine sermon. We then all went up to the Taft Hotel for our luncheon. Worked tonight till late. T.P.H., who had been attending an entertainment at United Church Chapel, called and we came home together. Marshall Foch of France was buried today. Troops of all Allied Nations took part in the ceremonies and more than 2,000,000 people watched from the sidewalk. His final resting place will beside Napoleon.
