Saturday, May 11, 1929
Clear and lovely but cold. Thermometer this morning at six o'clock just above 32°. There was a white frost. We had a store meeting this morning. Mr. Skeen of the George D. Wetherill + Co. met with us. Mr. Page and Mr. Fitch came down from Springfield. I worked till five o'clock then went downtown and purchased some Mother's Day cards for Mother's Day tomorrow. Home to dinner then Tess and I went down to Whitneyville and purchased some flowers for Mother Peck. Sarah is in to Yale Theatre playing in one of the four one act plays.
