A beautiful day, bright and balmy up till evening then a hard thunder shower. We drove in to town to church, I to Calvary and T.P.H. and Mother and Father Peck to St. Paul's. It is Mother's Day today. Mr. Camp had a fine sermon for the occasion. We had a fine attendance at church school. Violette and Clayton brought me home. It is their 33rd wedding anniversary. Harley and Alice, Tess and I gave them a check for twenty-five dollars as a gift. Grant Noble was here to dinner and Bob and Midge Chandler called. Sally and Peter have just come in. They told us that they went over to Auntie Violette's and told her of their engagement. She is so happy for them as we knew she would be.
