Lovely day all day long yet not warm enough to let our furnace fire out. Had lunch this noon at the Hotel Bishop with the Executive Board of the New Haven Council of Churches. Dr. Petty, Rev. Elmore McKee, and I are the retiring members of the board and we have been on for four years. Had dinner in town tonight then attended a Board of Governors meeting at the Quinnipiack Club then back to the office and worked till eleven o'clock where T.P.H. called for me. She had called at the Yale Drama School for Sarah first. The 2nd Company Governors Foot Gaurd returned from Richmond, Virginia this morning. They had been down there to the 140th anniversary of the Richmond Light Infantry Blues.
