Clear in the morning with our usual rain later in the day. Rotary luncheon at noon at Hotel Taft. Boys Work Program. Harley, who is chairman, had charge. The speaker was Mahlon Drake for Newark, N.J. He gave us a fine "Boys" talk. Home at night to dinner and for the evening. Worked on my records to do with the New Haven Paint and Oil Club. Sarah went to Hartford today to her classes at the Edgewood School. Pete Barker and Ed Cole, who had been up to Dartmouth to a lighting show, got off the train at Hartford and rode down with her. They both stayed for supper. Then all three went in to the drama school to work.

(This is the first time Vernon has referred to Sarah's classes in Hartford as at the "Edgewood School". He previously referred to them as the "Oxford School". There is also an Edgewood School in Hartford. Possibly teaching at both schools?)
