Thursday, May 16, 1929 Day started in bright and lovely. Heavy shower at noon with high wind that did a lot of damage. Uprooted whole trees, tore branches off many others, blew buildings and signs down, etc, etc. Turned cold again after the storm. Don North called me up and asked me to go with him out to Guilford-Clinton-Madison Rotary Club. He called for me and I went out and gave them a short talk. We met at the Armory on Meadow Street tonight at 6-30 for our Annual State Guard Group (New Haven Group) Party. We then went out to North Haven to the Legion Hall for our dinner and meeting. We had as our guests Captain F.M. Booth, 1st Lieut. H.M. Dan, and 2nd Lt. Wallace A. Moyle of the Active Company. John Murray as usual furnished a fine lot of flowers. After the dinner, we bowled down stairs. [Prev](1929_05_15.md) - [Next](1929_05_17.md) <img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/d/1XmjAX2pcdhD28ON4oUtPtx2c7BiJfC3k">
