Tuesday, May 21, 1929 Pouring rain. I went into the office early then came back home and picked up T.P.H. and Sarah and started for Turners Falls, Mass. to visit Jim Gunn, District Governor of the 30th Rotary District. We left Sally in Hartford to take her classes at the Oxford School and we cut back through Bloomfield to the College Highway and on to Turners Falls. Jim and I attended the Rotary Club luncheon there. Mrs. Gunn to charge of Tess. After luncheon, Jim and I spent the whole afternoon going over Rotary affairs. We had supper with the Gunns at their home. They have three delightful children. We drove down home in three hours. Dot Ladd from Buffalo stopped for the night with Sally.
