Wednesday, May 22, 1929 Still cold and our furnace still running. The sunshine is just beautiful. Had lunch at the Quinnipiack Club today. Tonight went down to the Armory on Meadow Street to the New Haven Grays, Grannis Medal Drill. They had a big crowd of guests present. The drill was fine all the way through and we were proud of our old company. Shep De Forest was there with his bride of two weeks. He is a former New Haven boy and was with us on the border with us in 1916. He is now in Charleston, S.C.
