Had breakfast on the train as we neared Dallas, Texas. Arrived about nine o'clock. A big delegation of Texas people met us all at the train. They took us up to the Hotel Baker where we are stopping. We have a fine room and the weather today has been delightful hot in the sun but cool in the shade. Hard thunder shower tonight. We went out to the Fair Grounds and registered then looked about till two o'clock when a meeting of all voting delegates was held to consider resolutions. We came back in town and had dinner at the Hotel Baker roof garden, a fine place. Not too warm. Went back out to the Fair Grounds to a splendid pageant showing the flags of our 52 Nations of Rotary.
