Tuesday, November 5, 1929 In to the store at 7-30 A.M. to tend switchboard. Left early and drove to Winsted, Conn. and made my official visit to the Winsted Rotary Club at noon. Also called on our customers there, Mr. Fish, Mr. Simmons, and Mr. Needles, then drove back down to Tarrington, Conn. Called on some more customers, T.J. Smith and J. Baldaufb, then went over to Conley's Inn where the Tarrington Rotary Club had arranged an evening meeting for me and I made my official visit to them. We had a fine meeting together. I drove down home and called for Sarah at the Yale Theatre where she is playing "She Stoops to Compromise". Home and to bed at a late hour.
