Wednesday, November 6, 1929 Another lovely day but cold. At the store all day long. Harley left for Springfield for two days. I had luncheon at the Hotel Taft with Mr. Schute of the Davidge Company, importers of grass cloth. Worked tonight till 10-30 then went over to the Yale Theatre and called for Sarah. Mother and Mrs. Knapp were there. We took Mrs. Knapp home then took the little girl who was minding Aletha's children home to Mt. Carmel. Mayor Thomas Tully was reelected mayor of the city of New Haven by a majority of over 4000, defeating Philip Troup, the democrat candidate.
