Went in to the store at eight and left at ten o'clock to drive to New Britain to make my official visit to the New Britain Rotary Club. After the luncheon, President George Dyson to up on the hill to see the new war memorial. It certainly is a beautiful thing. Left New Britain and going by the way of Berlin, Middletown, Portland, Willimantic, I arrived at Danielson and made my official visit to the Danielson Rotary Club at an evening dinner. Had a fine time with them. I left Dannielson at 9-10 and drove home, covering 76 miles in just two hours. Rained part of the way home.
