Friday, November 15, 1929 Rained this morning, cleared by noon. Peter came up from Philadelphia for the week-end. He and Sarah came in to the store and took me out home where I put on my evening clothes and Tessie and I drove to Springfield to the dinner and celebration of the fifteenth anniversary of the Springfield Rotary Club. Paul Heiser, president, and Portia, his wife, asked us to come and we had a fine dinner and enjoyed the entertainment and dancing afterwards. We left there about eleven o'clock and drove down home in an hour and a half. I was a beautiful moonlight night.
