Cloudy and rainy all day. Slept late. After breakfast, I drove in to Calvary Church to service. The church school held its Thanksgiving Service with the offering of fruit. The baskets looked as lovely as ever. I brought one out to Mrs. John S. Fowler on my way home. Peter was here to dinner with us and he helped me take out the screen and put them down cellar. I went over and called on Violette this afternoon and had a nice visit with she and Clayton. Sally took Peter in to the station to catch a train for New York. Newspapers today report the death of Clemenceau, the great French leader died yesterday at 8-45 P.M. He it was that organized victory for France in the closing years of the World War.
