Cloudy and raining nearly all day long. Busy at the store all day. Went up to the new armory, now building on Goffe Street with a committee of the New Haven Grays to pass on plans for the arrangement and decorating of the new quarters for the Grays. Those there were Dwight Smith, architect, Major Carl Ballman, General Haggerty, Captain Harold Dorr, Lieutenants Moyle and Leete of the Active Company. It will give them a very much larger place for drills. Had supper down town and worked at the store till ten o'clock. On account of Thanksgiving tomorrow, Sarah did not have to go up to Hartford to teach today.
Walter Smith began printing our wall paper books today. We have trouble getting the new machinery started.
