Friday, October 4, 1929 Beautiful day today. Quite cool. I got up early and went right in to the store, giving T.P.H. and Sally a "sleep over". Took the Packard in to have the brakes adjusted. Went down to calvary Church and ate supper with the teachers and workers of the church school. Mr. Richardson presided and had a good meeting. Rev. Mr. Brush of the First Baptist Church was the speaker. Prime Minister Ramsay MacDonald and his daughter of England arrived in New York today and after a hearty greeting by the people of New York, proceeded to Washington and visit President Hoover. They are to hold a conference to help establish Good Will between the people of England and America.
