Saturday, October 5, 1929 A beautiful day today. We kept the store open till five o'clock, being the first opening afternoon since the Summer closing. I worked till about 1-30 then Sally called for me and we, with Harley and Alice, drove out to Yale Bowl to the football game between Yale and Vermont. Yale won 89 to 0, which the highest score made by a Yale team in many years. Vermont had a very small squad so could not stand up against the constantly changing players Yale was able to send in. We came home and found Alice Drew Lockwood and a little girl friend here. They had dinner with us then we took them into the station for the eight o'clock train. We all went, T.P.H., Sally, Peter, and I. [Prev](1929_10_04.md) - [Next](1929_10_06.md) <img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/d/1WHinoyTTCmxNRt_Kz3bjMjtM9UPs07SJ">
