Tuesday, October 8, 1929 At Springfield, Mass. Spent the night at Hotel Kimball. Went over to the Springfield store for an hour then drove to Williamstown, Mass. Went up via Huntington, Chester, Becket, Dalton, North Adams. Made my official visit to the Williamstown Rotary Club. They meet at Williams Inn. Had a good attendance and good singing. Left there about two o'clock came to Pittsfield then to Dalton and over the Berkshire Trail to Northampton. Called on Hugh Pierce and then drove over to Easthampton to the meeting of the Rotary Club and made my official visit with them. They were just lovely to me and gave me several gifts made in the town of Easthampton. Later, we went over to Cliff Richmond's house for our assembly meeting. Afterwards, I drove down home, arriving just an hour and three quarters after leaving Easthampton.
