Monday, October 14, 1929 In to the store at 7-30 to tend switchboard. Busy all the morning dictating letters for both Rotary and our own business. Drove over to Branford, Conn. and made my official visit to the Branford Rotary Club. Clarence Lake, president, came back to the store. Left again at five o'clock and drove to Saybrook and paid the Saybrook Rotary Club an official visit at an evening meeting. Dinner was served at the Pease House, Saybrook Point and it was a fine dinner too. Drove home in just an hour.
