A beautiful warm day. I got up at eight o'clock and worked out of doors. I dug up the dahlias and brought them in. Put the garden hose and tools away and brought in the lawn furniture. T.P.H. and I then drove down to Norwalk and had dinner with Fred and Alice Lockwood. They are staying temporarily in the "studio". Sarah Drew Ballard was down there too. We brought her as far as New Haven and put her on the train for Springfield. Then we came on home. Sally and Pete came later and we all had supper together.
